Andy (the proprietor) has toured Ireland extensively, done track-days including Mallory Park in Leicestershire, completed the 2-day BMW off-road skills course in the Brecon Beacons and has been riding motorcycles for over 20 years. He qualified in 1988 as a DSA Approved Driving Instructor, then in 1996 as a Motorcycle Instructor. He is the most highly qualified motorcycle instructor in the South Cumbria and North Lancashire area after attending the Driving Standards Agency's centre at Cardington, Bedfordshire for the Direct Access Scheme (DAS) and Instructor Assessor qualifications. Andy has also completed the Special Test only open to DAS Approved Motorcycle Instructors, is an active founder Member/Senior Observer of the local Institute of Advanced Motorist group (IAM), DIAmond Advanced rider and has worked with Lancashire (County Council) Road Safety Partnership assisting on all the courses they run, from 'Speed Awareness' to free Assessments. Andy now holds a DIA Diploma in Advanced Motorcycle Instruction/Training and on its initial set up was area manager for Blood Bikes.
